Inspired by the MT story, comes Faraway Paladin! A story about a mysterious boy raised by a trio of undead. Who are these people? Why was a human baby left in the city of undead? You’ll know by the end of Novel 1!

If there was anything I could say to get you to read this series, it would be two things:

magic and gods.

FP has a great magic system. It doesn’t treat magic like a cheat system anyone can do, but more like a stick of dynamite:

Dynamite can destroy a mountain, but it can also take your hand off.

And the Gods? they suddenly feel like they are a celestial body worthy of praise!

As you go through this anime, take a moment to consider this novel series. The author has 5 books for it (a .5 book at one point), and although he suffered some writer’s block that stopped him from continuing in 2017, I believe he has started his novel up again!

Give Novel one a shot! You won’t be disappointed if you loved MT, but didn’t like the initial personality of Rudy.

this would have been longer, but I spent 9 hours on spelling out 40 pages of 86 part 2. I could write the summary for that chapter in Spaghetti O’s I know it so well. By the time I find a bed, it’ll have been 32 hours behind me.

Woah, I'm going to be really late to reply. Yeah, I've finished reading it ages ago and to be honest, the only morally-concerning thing he did (by 21st century humanity's standards: cuz you probably know how evil humans were back then) were the sex scenes he did with Eris; both the birthday gift part and the pre-ED/goodbye virginity sex he did; and the time where he almost raped Elizabeth. It's not really unpleasant for ME(only me) because first of all it's fiction; second is that the moral standards in that fictional world doesn't abide by the moral standards of the current era but is similar to how it was in the past; lastly, it's kind of convenient and helpful for me to self-insert myself into Rudeus for the sake of better reading because, if I was also a pathetic, sad 40 year old man, that has nothing to be happy about in life but watching JAV and H-anime but gets isekai'd, I'd probably just do all the same shit he did... As we all know that Mushoku Tensei is a story of redemption and accepting, forgiving and loving oneself in order to truly love others, so everything ends in a happy note! Yey..!

Because his behavior doesn't fit the 9ther 90% of the anime. The anime itself is a very good anime that doesn't revolve around that expect at all.

It just a comedic relief that doesn't fit well. As a contrast I have no issue with what happens in dxf cause it fits. And I find that story very good as well.

I just finished the manga and am thinking of reading the light novel.

This is a very tragic and sad story at least for the prologue. I couldn't help crying by the end of it. I'm not sure how fast they will try to complete the prologue arc but I'm guessing probably by episode 4. If they try to rush through with only three episodes I think that's a bad idea as the prologue arc is very important for establishing this story's setting.

If you don't shed at least a few tears by the end of the prologue arc then you're some kind of cold unfeeling monster.

It's hard to say how good the production is on only one episode but so far it seems above average so I hope that it stays that way. Not sure why they had to change Blood's design so much from the manga but at least it's close enough. Maybe it's closer to the Light Novel version.

P.S. Man you change your profile pic every season. Most people I know stick with theirs for at least a couple years at least.

i can't say much as I haven't read the series, and if I will, that depends how much I love this and how many episodes it has that will cover the LN.
